Chain of Custody Program Administrator

Location: Remote

Term: Full-time

Salary: $40,000-$45,000, including benefits

The Chain of Custody Program Administrator works in the Certification Division, supporting the Chain of Custody Team in the implementation of our Chain of Custody Auditing Program. The Administrator’s principal function is to maintain and update client files and documents utilizing MRAG Americas’ SharePoint site and the Marine Stewardship Council’s Supply Chain Audit Platform. In addition, the Administrator will draft audit invoices and assist the program managers responding to auditor inquiries and assisting with auditors’ schedules and logistics.

Specific responsibilities and tasks include:

  • Update and maintain client files in the MSC platform, SharePoint, and internal database.
  • Assign audits in the MSC platform
  • Prepare MSC and RFM fishery assessment documents such as audit checklists, scoping documents, and work completion certificates using MRAG Americas provided templates.
  • Process final reports in MSC platform, internal database, and send them to the client.
  • Draft and issue COC certificates and schedules using established MRAG Americas templates.
  • Draft and send audit invoices
  • Participate in weekly team meetings
  • Track COC audit progress
  • Work directly with the senior management team and auditors to ensure all deadlines are met

Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Experience working with independent certification schemes in fisheries or other food supply chains preferred
  • Advanced skills and proficiency with all Microsoft applications. Ability to learn and maintain web-based applications quickly and accurately
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong time-management and multitasking abilities
  • Good interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in small, geographically dispersed teams to improve the operations of immediate work group by offering ideas, identifying issues, and respecting team members
  • Partner with managers to maintain strong communication with teams, compose and draft correspondence
  • Ability to produce complex documents, perform analyses and utilize/update our internal client database
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent problem-solving ability
